2 weeks ago Massey Energy began blasting Coal River Mountain, an ideal site for thousands of wind turbines and clean energy jobs in West Virginia. Local activists are calling for major mobilizations to demand that Pres. Obama and other federal representatives intervene to help spur the transition to a clean energy economy.

In the midst of an annual utility conference today in eastern Cleveland, Representative Dennis Kucinich joined students from across the state and their allies to urge the utility not to build a proposed dirty coal-fired power plant in Southern Ohio.

Last night OSU hosted a Power Shift party.  It was rad, and gave a little taste of the excitement we'll all feel in a couple weeks!  We had a packed house, hot music, hula hooping, and got several brand new people registered.  OSU is now well on our way to meeting our registration goals.
